Registration fees do not include accommodation. It is the responsibility of the conference delegate to book and pay for their own conference accommodation, please refer to the Advice page for accommodation options.
Conference Registration Fees
Full conference registration fees are quoted in Australian dollars and include: entrance to all sessions; the evening Welcome Reception on Monday 4 July, 2022; lunches, and morning and afternoon teas from Tuesday 5 – Thursday 7 July, 2022; Poster Viewing session with drinks and stand-up dinner on Tuesday 5 July, 2022; and the Conference Dinner at Hemingway’s Brewery, Cairns Wharf, on Thursday 7 July, 2022. Single day registration includes morning and afternoon tea, lunch and admission to the evening event programmed for that day (if there is one scheduled). Extra guest tickets to evening functions for accompanying persons can be purchased at extra cost.
Please note that the Australian Society for Parasitology requires all 2022 ASP Conference attendees over 16 years of age (includes delegates, speakers, volunteers and any other persons who will be physically attending any conference events) to be fully vaccinated with an up-to-date vaccination against COVID19 to attend this conference in person unless you can show proof of your medical exemption.

If delegates are unable to attend due to COVID19 or something else that stops them from being able to attend in person we will be able to offer delegates virtual attendance options with all sessions live-streamed and interactive.

After 4 July 2022 registration is on-site at the conference only.

If you are bringing guests and would like them to attend the evening functions with you please purchase extra guest tickets when registering for the conference. All guests over 16 years of age must be fully vaccinated against COVID19 to attend the evening functions or show proof of a medical exemption.

Online registration and payment
We are pleased to offer conference delegates the option of secure online credit card payment through Paypal when registering online for the conference. Payment by direct bank transfer is also an option. All registration must be online, please contact Lisa with any queries: Lisa.Jones1@jcu.edu.au
Cancellation of registration must be notified in writing to the Conference Coordinator, Lisa Jones (email@example.com). Cancellation of registration received by 3rd April 2022 will receive a refund of the registration fee minus any banking transaction charges.
If you cancel your registration after:
- 4th April 2022 you’ll receive 75% refund
- 2nd May 2022 you’ll receive 25% refund
- 20th May 2022 you’ll receive 10% refund
- 20th June 2022 you’ll receive no refund
- If you fail to turn up to the conference you’ll receive no refund
Payments will be refunded if the conference is cancelled by the organiser. Registrations remain valid if the conference has to be postponed. Refunds will be issued by bank transfer and may take up to a month to process. Please note that these fees reflect the cancellation fees imposed on the ASP by the venue.

Registration does not include insurance of any kind. Delegates should arrange their own insurance when booking registration and travel. Please check if the policy excludes cover for epidemics, pandemics and infectious diseases. The Australian Society for Parasitology Inc. and Conference organisers will take no responsibility for personal injury, death, loss of property, or damage caused by participants, however caused or arising.
The Australian Society for Parasitology reserves the right to amend or alter any advertised details relating to dates, program and speakers if necessary, without notice, as a result of circumstances beyond their control. All attempts have been made to keep any changes to an absolute minimum.
