The Bancroft-Mackerras Medal for Excellence allows the Australian Society for Parasitology to recognise outstanding contributions of its members to the Science of Parasitology. Applications close 30th September 2025. See the ASP website for more information and the application form.
The John Frederick Adrian Sprent Prize is a substantial prize in cash presented to a Student member of the Society who in the opinion of a selection committee appointed by the Council has written an outstanding thesis in Parasitology for which the PhD degree was awarded during the previous three years (1 October 2022 – 30 September 2025). The Bridget Ogilvie Medal of the Australian Society for Parasitology is an award for an Ordinary member or Fellow of the ASP who, in the opinion of the selection committee appointed by Council, has made an outstanding contribution to parasitology education. The Australian Society for Parasitology Fellowships
A Fellow is a distinguished member, elected by Council, who by their influence or endeavour have promoted the advancement of parasitology and rendered conspicuous service to the cause of parasitology and the Society. See the ASP website for more information.
