Australia is home to the oldest living culture in civilisation, and we are especially proud of our #ICOPA2026Sydney artwork. The ICOPA XVI artwork and logo was designed by Indigenous artist Bernard Singleton. Bernard comes from the Yirrganyji people, who are one of the traditional owner groups of the Cairns area located in Tropical Far North Queensland, Australia. He was raised in the small Aboriginal community of Coen, Cape York. Bernard’s family are Djabuguy, from Mona Mona mission and his father is an Umpila (east coast Cape York)/Yirrkandji man from Yarrabah mission. Bernard is an amazing visual artist, performer and curator and we are very grateful that he shares his story, culture and art with #icopa2026sydney https://www.icopa2026sydney.org/bid-artwork
We welcome the support of the World Federation of Parasitologist Member Societies who will vote during @ICOPAnhagen in Demark. #ICOPA2026Sydney
